I literally am so thrilled to report that Fyre Fest is coming back. Yes, that Fyre Fest “produced” by fraudster Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule that was documentary-ized by both Netflix and Hulu.

I could really Get Into it, but the days surrounding the original Fyre Festival in April 2017 were some of my favorite days that I’ve ever had the pleasure of being on Twitter. And a classic piece of Han lore is that the Fyre Fest documentaries got me through a hard time in the winter of 2019, and they still hold a special place in my heart. I cannot WAIT to see what happens on April 25, 2025.

Some social media updates

The obvious social media update is that Twitter has been banned in Brazil. My understanding of this issue comes from my timeline, so it’s fairly fuzzy. Essentially, from what I can tell, a judge asked Elon Musk to remove a few accounts for spreading political misinformation, and Elon Musk didn’t want to get rid of these far-right accounts, so he was like, “free speech,” or whatever, and then he removed the Twitter representative to Brazil, so it became illegal for Twitter to operate in the country. IDK, Jordan Pearson explains it better than I could.

Instagram has added/updated two major features this month already. First, it introduced the ability to leave comments on people’s stories, which is somehow different than a direct reply. Second, you can now add twenty IG posts to your beloved “dumps” on grid. Best believe I will be taking advantage of that when my most recent film roll comes back.
